Tasting: Veleta Tempranillo
Name: Veleta Tempranillo
Variety: Rosado
Region: Granada
Country: Spain
Year: 2010
Price: $3.95
Winery review: Fresh in flavor and crisp in texture, this dry rosé offers berry, tart cherry and light herbal flavors, with firm acidity and a clean finish. Focused and juicy.
My review: On the nose, the Veleta Tempranillo had a strong cream cheese/butter smell. It was dry, as was expected and had a distinct citrus backbone.
